We collect information that you provide directly to us when using GymSocial:

• Account Information: Name, username, email address, password, profile picture, and bio.
• Fitness & Health Data: Workout logs, custom exercise routines, completed sets, reps, weights, workout duration, and daily fitness goals.
• User-Generated Content: Photos and posts shared to the social feed, comments, likes, and direct messages sent to other users.
• Device & Diagnostic Data: Device model, operating system version, unique device identifiers, and crash logs to improve app stability.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

• To provide, operate, and maintain the GymSocial platform and workout tracker.
• To enable social features such as feeds, likes, comments, and direct messaging.
• To sync and backup your workout logs and fitness progress securely to cloud servers.
• To monitor and analyze app usage, troubleshoot issues, and enhance user experience.
• To ensure community safety and prevent spam or abusive behavior.

3. Data Security & Storage

We take data security seriously. All network traffic between the GymSocial mobile application and our servers (powered by Supabase) is encrypted in transit using industry-standard Transport Layer Security (TLS 1.3 / HTTPS). Data is stored in secure, access-controlled cloud databases.

4. Sharing of Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties for advertising purposes. Your information is only shared under the following conditions:

• Public Profile & Feed: Content you choose to publish publicly (posts, bio, public workout milestones) is visible to other GymSocial users.
• Service Providers: Trusted cloud infrastructure providers (such as Supabase and Expo) strictly to deliver app functionality.
• Legal Requirements: If required by applicable laws or to protect rights and safety.

5. Data Retention and Account Deletion

We retain your information as long as your account remains active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time directly through the app settings or by contacting us at our support email. Upon deletion, your personal data, posts, and workout history will be permanently deleted from our primary databases.

6. Children's Privacy

GymSocial is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
